The New Full-Service Fundraising Platform for Local Campaigns
Universe, a Higher Ground Labs cohort company, has announced a new service to its collection of tools empowering down-ballot progressive campaigns and organizations.
Currently in closed alpha for early access, Universe Fundraising enables local progressive and Democratic organizers to plan their fundraising timelines, set fundraising goals, and collect contributions for their campaigns in the same low-cost app which already provides direct voter contact tooling, volunteer management, and campaign website development.
Universe Fundraising adds another building block to Universe’s vision of a fully integrated campaign management option that is both affordable and accessible for any progressive candidate, no matter their resources or how far down the ballot they are running.

Universe Fundraising sets campaigns up for fundraising success with features to help plan, estimate, and execute on fundraising goals.
At the center of the platform, a dashboard will allow campaigns to set goals for fundraisers and measure against those goals, helping campaigns to stay on track and adjust strategies where necessary.
Custom Contribution Pages
Contribution pages are integrated with the Universe Website Builder, making it easy to customize their look and feel. (Campaigns who use other website builders will still have just as much flexibility to create beautiful contribution pages and link to them from their other platforms.)
Custom contribution pages enable campaigns to track their fundraising efforts and learn which tactics are most successful, using website data to improve their strategy.
Lowest Card Processing Fees Around
Processing fees shouldn’t hinder fundraising efforts. Universe Fundraising has worked hard to cut down our processing fees to record-low rates. Processing fees are currently at 2.6% + 20¢ per transaction, a full percentage point lower than most competitors.
Guided Assistance
Many local campaigns are often first-time fundraisers. Universe Fundraising has simple onboarding and planning tools to lessen the burden. Campaigns will build a fundraising plan, have access to simple and digestible performance statistics, learn how to pledge chase with abandoned cart logging, and more.
